Get the facts on UV Diaper Pail Refill Rings: how they eliminate odors, kill germs, and why they outperform standard bags for odor control.
Quick answer
UV Diaper Pail Refill Rings are designed to eliminate odors and kill up to 99% of germs using UV light, not just mask smells. They work best with the UV Diaper Pail.
Why UV light matters for odor control
Standard diaper pails rely on thick plastic or carbon filters to trap smells, but odors can still escape over time. UV Diaper Pail Refill Rings are formulated to maximize transmission of UV light through the film, which neutralizes germs and odors at the source instead of just containing them.
The 7-layer advantage
Each refill ring uses 7 stink-busting layers for durability and added odor control. That extra barrier means less chance of leaks or smells seeping out compared to single-layer bags.
Myth vs. Fact: UV Refill Rings
- Myth: UV refill rings are just expensive bags: Fact: UV refill rings are designed to transmit UV light through the film to neutralize germs and odor. Standard bags don't allow UV penetration and rely on passive containment.
- Myth: All refill rings control odor the same way: Fact: UV Diaper Pail Refill Rings use a patented self-sealing system and 7-layer film for active odor control. Other rings may only mask smells or use thicker plastic.
- Myth: UV light can't work through the film: Fact: The clear refill rings are formulated to maximize UV light transmission, so the UV lamp inside the pail can effectively kill up to 99% of germs through the film. For best results, always use UV refill rings with the UV Diaper Pail—standard bags will block the UV light.
